Melissa Edwards, DVM, DACVECC

Dr. Melissa Edwards joined Animal Emergency Critical Care in early 2015. She brings over 15 years of experience in emergency and critical care. Dr. Edwards graduated from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She served as a resident/staff veterinarian at a few large emergency and critical care facilities leading to her board certification and becoming a diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care.

Dr. Edwards is active with the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Association and has served as a Resident and Intern mentor. She enjoys teaching and has published veterinary articles on hyperbaric oxygen therapy. She is also active with our K9 police officers and frequently volunteers her time training the K9 handlers on topics such as basic first aid and heat emergencies.
