EMERGENCY ON A SUNDAY… I took my beloved, sweet 14 year old American Pitbull Bella in at 3.pm. as overnight she collapsed on the kitchen floor and could not get up! Her hindquarters/legs would not work as she has had degenerative issues for the last year or so but was doing ok. Anyway, she could not get up, had threw-up yellow bile, and was in pain. Put her in the car and brought her into TLC. Reception was fast -They immediately came out and brought her back. I waited in their nice lounge (this entire facility is world-class animal care) and was given reports consistently. I was so scared for her as I thought maybe would have to put her down! Dr. Church called me back and gave me very detailed, accurate diagnosis and took her time to explain and answer all my questions. Very smart, kind, compassionate and highly knowledgeable young VET graduate of VA TECH. Bella had a bad disc in her back/spine, Intervertebral Disk Disease and Paraparesis-absent CP’s, weak motor, Midthoracic spinal pain. They had completely treated her in the back with an injection, blood work and prescription meds etc. They gave me a complete detailed, discharge instruction sheet and all the meds Bella needs for the next 14 days. Well, she walked out 4 hours later-a miracle! She is now recouping at home nicely and I thank TLC and Dr. Church! – G.H. – Yelp
